Well we retired in March of 2008 and moved to Tennessee. Tennessee is a beautiful State and the people here really live up to the State Motto which is the Volunteer State. However the weather and the bugs leave a lot to be desired. We got married in 1969 and lived either the SF Bay Area or the Central Valley and I guess we are spoiled. We also miss family and friends. So we are going to move back towards the west. Not sure where we will land and hang our hats. All I know is it will be west of the Rockies.

Both of us will be adding to this blog as time goes by. And as time goes we will get better at it.

Long Time

OK so it has been a long time sense I have posted. Not sure where to begin so I won't even try. We are now home owners in California AGAIN. Yes we came back Tennessee was awesome and the people were even better. We both miss them and the state tremendously and plan on visiting many times. But family and friends and the fact that California is "Home" drew us back.

We are all doing well and I hope to add more to this in the future with more Escapade's..

Plus I need to learn how to work this crazy thing (the blog) again.....

49er Saturday 3-26-11

We are at 49er Camp in Plymouth Ca. came up here Thursday and OH MY did in Rain and 50 mile wind. The drive was OK as long as we had the wind at our rear as soon as I turned on to Highway 88 and the wind hit the side and blew us all over. We are with Butch and Karla and a few FaceBook friends. We are camped next to a small creek and the water rose all day Thursday, good thing right after the rain quit the water went down...... Whew....... Shelia and I did some site seeing and we took a few pictures and I will take some more of the camp ground as soon as I get down with this post.

Sunday March 6 2011

Not much going on just waiting and trying to decide where we are going to hang our hat. I have given it much thought over the past week and I really do not want to live in the Valley with all the oppressive heat in the summer and the COLD COLD FOG in the winter. I know we moved back to California to be closer to family and friends and if we land in the foothills we will be a lot closer. Like 2 hours instead of 5 days. Moving to Tennessee was a GREAT experience and I would not change that. But the opportunity that await Brianna here in California are tremendous even with all the goings on with the State of the State.

Trip To SAL 10-11

Here is a small snippet of our San Antonino Lake camping trip. We had a great time with friends here in California. It rained HARD off and on for the whole time we were there. The nice thing is we have the use of a room large enough for all of us to gather out of the elements. Sunday the weather broke and it was a nice day to watch the Daytona 500 we had a pool going for $2 a car. We put $10 bucks in and got 5 cars, the winning went as follows. First car out of the race wins $10 and the winner of the race wins $45... WE WON BOTH ch ching... hahaha

Tuesday 2-15-2011

Not much going on again. I did get the Motor Home all un-winterized. I tested everything propane, water, and electrical stuff. All we need to do is pack our "Stuff" in and go. The weather was beautiful today but it will be changing in the next few days just in time for our camp out at San Antonio Lake in Monterrey County.
Thursday we will hook up with our friends Sam and Linda and convoy to SAL, should be fun times.

We still have not decided 100% on where we are going to hang our hat. Jackson is LQQKING good but there are a lot of what if's. Still working on what we are going to do with Brianna. She is still falling through the cracks as far as getting help with living. Here is a random picture....

Saturday 2-12-11

Had a good day yesterday. Worked on a leak in the Motor Home (sure hope I got it) and talked to a very dear friend in New Hampshire for over a hour. So nice catching up with him and he catching up with us. I guess it's true that absent makes the heart grow stronger. Sure do miss Terry and Carol.

Not much going on here today we are about to head out to church in Ceres and then go by the storage yard and gather a few necessary items. This coming week we are going with our California group camping. We have not been camping/parking (as Alex calls it) sense October when we were here last. I am going to add a random photo just because I can.

There were some really neat things we liked about Nashville and the "Bat" building was one of them
