Well we retired in March of 2008 and moved to Tennessee. Tennessee is a beautiful State and the people here really live up to the State Motto which is the Volunteer State. However the weather and the bugs leave a lot to be desired. We got married in 1969 and lived either the SF Bay Area or the Central Valley and I guess we are spoiled. We also miss family and friends. So we are going to move back towards the west. Not sure where we will land and hang our hats. All I know is it will be west of the Rockies.

Both of us will be adding to this blog as time goes by. And as time goes we will get better at it.

Christmas Eve 2011

We are expecting to wake up to a White Christmas (we will see). It was cold this morning and will get colder as the day goes by.
I made contact with a Realtor up in Gold Country and gave him the specs of our wants in a place to live. I pretty much explained what we wanted and where we want live. He should be sending me some listings so I can check them out and then maybe we will do a road trip to see once we move to California.
The Kennedy's (people who are renting our house here in Tennessee) are already moving things over in the sheds we have outside and there is a sign on their front lawn advertising that the house is for rent. So that makes me feel a little more relaxed.
Merry Christmas...... I am still working on how to make the comments show. Maybe I should ask Dan...

We got snow.... 9:00

First Day of Winter

Well there was a total eclipse of the Moon last night and I slept right through it, of course it was cloudy anyway so it didn't matter. I got some more packing done and Shelia and Brianna helped me get the rest of the boxes done from the attic. We are going to see "Narnia" today ($1 popcorn day).

They are calling for snow on Christmas Day. What a great send off that would be. I saw yesterday where the neighbors house is up for rent. YAY... That means things are progressing well and we will soon be on a merry way headed WEST.

Here is my Bride all ready to go the Pool.

Post Four... Day Two...

Well I need to stop the numbers because one day I will lose track and someone will make fun of me LoL.... We just got back from the Christmas play that the kids put on and it was pretty cool and they did a great job. Right now we are watching Survivor. Shelia is in the finals Woooooo Hooooo

I am trying to figure out how to show the comments....

Post Three... Day Two...

Slept pretty good and woke up this morning to 11 degrees but clear. I did a little mre tweaking of "da blog". Church this morning and nothing much this afternoon. Church play tonight and potluck should be fun watching the kids. With our weather lately the kids have not had much practice. But all is good...

Post Two.....

It is later in the day/night and I am sitting here playing while Shelia and Brianna are watching Fred Claus. We are surprised there is not many Christmas specials to choose from. Miracle on 34th Street has not been on, neither has Holiday Inn. So I will set here and tweak on here.

Oh yeah I was surfing RV.Net and ran across a thread about workcamping. Apparently there are openings at http://www.sonomacountyfair.com/nrvpark.php  host to work beginning in March/April.
I have submitted a E-mail and we will see what happens in the days to come..

This was taken at Gulf Shores Alabama

Post One.....

Andrew Jackson's Musuem
Well here goes another exciting Adventure. We will be heading back to West of the Rockies and where we land who knows. I will be experimenting and tweaking as we go.
